During the many boatshows we have been to, we heard mostly two things. People with small boats dreaming about owning large yachts and people who own large yachts wishing they could return to the way sailing was taught to them...sailing small dinghies. Less hassle and more sailing pleasure. When we set out to launch the Scandinavian Cruisers line of boats we envisioned to: "Recapture the Essence of Sailing!".

The Scandinavian Cruiser 20 (SC 20) combines the charm of classical Skerry Cruisers with state-of-the-art technologies. They are created for sailors, who value elegant design as much as high speed and easy handling. Love at first sight. I came, saw... and was defeated!

The Internet can be used by disgruntled people as a tool for revenge. This is a reality and we must accept it. We will respond professionally to all reasonable criticism, and reject any unfair attacks.   We have witnessed an unfair attack on Scandinavian Cruisers, by our former distributor in Tampa, Florida, Jerry A. Twomey, Boat Fix USA, Inc. / Sailtime Tampa, Inc.

The Scandinavian Cruiser 20 and the Scandinavian Dory 18 were the stars of the Annapolis Boat Show. In the video below you can see how much attention these two boats received from the visiting public. Go to around 50 seconds into the video to see the crowds come in. Enjoy!

A couple of days after the Newport Boat Show, I had a chance to take the Scandinavian Cruiser 20 out for a spin on Narragansett Bay. Despite being one of the smallest boats there, and up on a trailer besides, the SC20, with its classic lines, teak deck and royal blue top sides, was one of the show's standouts. It was also one of the most surprising boats I've sailed.

Two weeks ago many people took advantage of our offer to go test sailing with us at the Larchmont Yacht Club in New York. We had both the SC20 and the SD18 available to try out. And as you can see in the photos we had some beautiful days and some really good wind.See also videos here, here and here.

Picture a perfect fall day in the stunning boating community of Larchmont, New York. Add to that cenario the Scandinavian Cruiser 20, a very experienced sailor and a not so experienced one. The result? A guaranteed new member of the family of sailing enthusiasts!

As the popularity of the Scandinavian Dory 18 grows, so does her distribution. Here she is in Australia!

Sailing Magazine took the SC 20 for a test sail in Newport RI. The verdict? A glowing review! Of course, we always knew she was a top performing beauty but it is nice to know the experts agree!

As you can see we had a beautiful day with a nice breeze and the Newport scenery makes for such an amazing backdrop. We were sailing right out of the docks at Fort Adams and in some of the shots you can see the New York Yacht Club as well.
