We now use a lead weighted swinging centerboard and water ballast. In sailing mode the boat tracks very well and it feels more like a keelboat than a dinghy. I could leave the rudder alone and go forward while the boat kept going. The rudder is very powerful. It is very long and narrow boat, and when the breeze picks up the speed goes up quite well.

The Scandinavian Cruiser 20 at the 2010 Bodensee Inwater Boat Show

The Scandinavian Cruiser 20 was exhibited at the 2010 Bodensee Inwater Boat Show on August 20-22 at Marina Bottighofen by Kreuzlingen/Konstanz in Switzerland. Whether it is moving to a smaller home or buying a less expensive and more fuel efficient car, it is a trend you see everywhere and sailing is no exception. Today we came across this article on www.sailingscuttlebutt.com from Geoffrey Emanuel which caught our interest. Geoffrey downsized as well. The lines and surfaces are very clean and crisp. There is a minimum of deck hardware, and where possible, the metal hardware is polished bronze. There are no hatch or portlight frames above deck; all structural frames for openings are to be made of composites as much as possible and be positioned under deck. Joints between parts are to be tight and uniform.

Trailer design for the SC20

Many of you have been asking for the trailer design for the SC20.
