During the design phase of the SC20 we considered to lift the keel from the mast, but we were concerned about the weight on the free-standing mast. It turned out that the mast is stiff enough.Here are the pictures of the new keel lifting system which is now supplied on all new boats, replacing the aluminum lifting boom.This can also be retro fitted to existing SC20's.

The first Scandinavian Cruiser 20 to sail in Canada was launched on a bright sunny July summer day at Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Club. The boat was promptly christened with Champagne by the owners and their family members.

The weather in Xiamen, China was sunny and warm as it seems to be each time we come here to sail. We started out by rowing the Scandinavian Dory 18 in the single rowing and sliding seat set-up, with my wife and son as passengers and acting as my “eyes” looking forward from the stern.
