In the September issue of
SAIL Magazine.
The Best Boats for 2011: Hunter 18, Class 2M, Landing School 20, Marblehead 22, NorseBoat 21.5 Cruiser and the Scandinavian Cruiser 20 and the Scandinavian Cruiser Dory 18!
40 new boats are entered in different classes in this competition. Very impressive I must say when you consider the economic turmoil that we are hopefully just coming out of. In the smallest class seven new boats have entered among which our two beautiful boats the Scandinavian Cruiser 20 and the Scandinavian Dory 18. We're very excited to be in this competition for the Best Boat of 2011 Award. Good luck to all the competitors. See here for
last year's award.
Here's what SAIL said about our boats:
Scandinavian Cruiser 20: Classic lines and long overhangs distinguish this 20ft daysailer. Below the waterline are a sleek underbody and modern high-aspect ratio foils; above, there's a rotating carbon fiber wingmast.
Scandinavian Dory 18: Lovers of traditional boats will enjoy the molded lapstrake hull of this little rowing/sailing dory. There are plenty of modern touches though, including option like a free-standing carbon-fiber mast with a wishbone boom, and oars, rudder and centerboard also built in carbon fiber.
Best,
Haye
