Today we entered our Scandinavian Cruiser 20 and Scandinavian Dory 18 into the Cruising World's and Sailing World's Boat of the Year 2011 (BOTY) competition.

This competition is the industry's most respected testing and awards program. A Sailing World's team of judges will focus on boats that have been designed with performance and sailing in mind. During the Newport International Boat Show (R.I.) the editors from Sailing World will take a good look at all the different contenders. The final nominees will be announced at the start of the U.S. Sailboat Show in Annapolis, Maryland.

We believe that both our contenders, the SC20 and SD18, score very high in performance, racing, innovation and affordability and we hope that they will be among the final nominees.
